It’s never too early to reach out. While we focus on Seed and Series A rounds, we invest in pre-Seed rounds as well. We prefer to invest in founders that we have time to get to know and build a relationship with, so the earlier we can engage the better. Even if you are not fundraising, we’re happy to meet, share thoughts and find ways to help out.
We invest in areas we understand and can have a meaningful impact on. The bulk of our investments have been across fintech, commerce, and healthcare verticals, however, we also invest in horizontal workflow solutions or overlooked verticals.
We strive to be more than just a check to our founders and always ask how we can be helpful in building their business. As prior founders or operators ourselves, we love rolling up our sleeves and collaborating with our founders to help find the right people to power their business, determine the right growth strategies (sales, marketing or partnerships), define the product market fit and of course support networking and fundraising.
We invest globally with a presence throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
Our initial investment in a startup ranges from $250,000 to $2,000,000, but we’ve gone higher and lower. We also reserve a meaningful amount to support our companies as they mature and scale.
We see hundreds of deals and try to focus our time on the very best opportunities. We value referrals from our network of founders and fellow investors. You are much more likely to get a quick response if you find an introduction through someone in the Montage network.
